Pro Photographer Mark Nicholas will team up with legendary Sports Illustrated, Superbowl & Olympic Photographer Veteran Peter Read Miller to offer shutterbugs the opportunity to learn the craft of sports photography as well as finishing techniques for importing, selecting, processing and delivering images, as well as basic printing techniques and options.
The cost for this 4-day event is just $395! There is an optional $125 add-on for a one-on-one session to help you process your images for an event you shoot on your own. We won’t leave you hanging!

Saturday 8/31

Our primary goal for Saturday is to teach photo processing. You’ll see the techniques used by the pros to select, edit, deliver and print your images as well as various archival techniques, tips and tricks..

Peter Read Miller has been photographing athletes, events and the sporting life for more than 40 years. He is has worked as a staff and contract photographer for Sports Illustrated for more than 35 years. His images have appeared on over 100 Sports Illustrated covers.In addition to covering 9 Olympic Games and 40 Super Bowls, Peter has shot 14 NBA Finals. He has covered the Stanley Cup Finals, the World Series, the Kentucky Derby, the NCAA Basketball Final Four, and the Men’s and Women’s World Cup Soccer Finals.
Mark Nicholas is a photographer, consultant and enthusiast and the owner of Manhattan Beach Studios. He is published as a nature photographer and travels throughout the world, including locations of Africa, Antarctica and Alaska,. His studio embraces high speed, fashion and advertising photography. He is the official photographer of the World Series of Beach Volleyball, and has photographed hundreds of high school and college matchups including the last three Orange Bowls. He was taught fine art photography by the master photographer Art Murphy. Mark is also an author of four books with more on the way and is a voting member of the Grammy’s.. Mark has taught hundreds of photography, lighting and specialty courses and enjoys taking both artistic and technical images, whether sports, high speed, nature, landscape, astrophotography, ballistic, portraiture, product and astrophotography.
